The Incinerator is a newsletter published by the Somme Association which is distributed between the issues of Battle Lines. It is designed to keep members of our 'Friends of the Somme' groups up to date with any changes which may have occurred within our Association.  It also contains articles form the original issues of the Incinerator, which was first published in the trenches in France in 1916 by the officers of the 14th Battalion The Royal Irish Rifles (YCV's.)  It was designed to bring a bit of humour to the lives of the men serving in the trenches.  It is the Association's hope that our members may not only find the Incinerator humourous, but also informative.
